A Late V-day Post

"Teacher Ruby, paalis na po kami, baka hindi po namin maibigay.."

- kids at church (handing over their letters for me)

I was in total awe.

Feb 14 for me was just like my usual date. It has always been like that. Same as how I live my life in a day to day basis. Nothing special. Nothing to "look forward" to.

But the way those kids approached me that day and handed over their letters for me, is something totally different.

I was so stunned by their gestures. It amazes me to know that, no matter how naughty they may seem whenever me and sis elmie try to do our job for them (like lectures, quizzes, etc.), they still have that sweetness in them.

I'm really happy and very much appreciative of what they did. All those words that they said in their letter really motivated me to continue being their Teacher Ruby.

Of course at first I thought these kids does not even know how hard it is to speak infront and try to lecture them about something I, myself is learning still. They don't even value what we do for them. They just doesn't seem to care. But reading all those letters, I was really shocked....

"Salamat po sa paglelecture nyo sa amin tungkol sa mga nangyari sa buhay dati ni jesus, teacher ruby I love you po. Good luck po!" - diana rose

"Teacher Ruby, maraming salamat po na tinuruan ninyo kami tungkol sa Diyos at sa lahat lahat na sinakripisyo nyo po sa amin at nagpakahirap po kayo sa amin nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyo."- bacabag

"Teacher ruby, Salamat na naging teacher... Salamat sa pagtuturo mo sa aming lahat. Happy Valentines po sayo.. thank you po. I love you!" - yolanda

"Dear Teacher ruby, First of all I would like to say to you hi and hello. Thank you po sa lahat ng tinuro nyo sa amin. Kahit na minsan hindi po kami nakikinig sa inyo. Pero malay nyo po balang araw bigyan po kayo ni God ng own family at ba pagkaroon na kayo ng own family.hindi na po kayo magturo sa amin. Wag naman po sana. Sige dito na lang po bye. love you po. mwaah." - jerry may (hahaha dito talaga ako natawa.)

Super duper uber happy talaga ako. From their efforts to do all these and say all those nice words and I love yous, its just so overwhelming. Eventhough we do this voluntarily, no compensation at all. and I only get to meet them once a week, which is every sunday, I just realize how blessed I am. God really do make a way for people (like myself) to change and learn even from a small matter. Like children (lol).

I am not bragging about how nice I may seem to them, I am just so proud of these kids. On a personal note, all of them change something in me.

So thank you little ones. And I love you all too! :)

OMGeeeeeeeeee! this is by far the hottest performance from them. Specially when they formed that v formation and when GD threw in that kiss to the crowd.. waaaa! i died!
